Hanna Engineering was formed in July 2013 by Michael H. Hanna, P.E., who is the sole owner and Chief Engineer in the company. The company was organized as a Limited Liability Corporation and was originally located in Florence at 821 West Lucas Street in a 3,200 square foot facility. Since 2013, the company has grown substantially and has recently relocated to a much larger 10,000 square foot building located at 2412 Pisgah Rd in Florence, SC.

Michael Hanna is a native of the Pee Dee and was raised in Johnsonville before going to Clemson University to obtain a degree in Civil Engineering. He returned to the Pee Dee and has worked for the last 35 years for a variety of Engineering Consulting Firms before establishing Hanna Engineering. Four of his former colleagues joined him in 2013 as he began the quest to becoming a leading provider of engineering consulting services in the Pee Dee. In 2015 a branch office was formed in Myrtle Beach at 10838 Kings Road.

The company currently has 15 employees, including 4 licensed professional engineers. Overall, the company has over 100 years of combined experience in civil engineering with an emphasis on water, wastewater, storm water and site development. Since 2013, Hanna Engineering has secured over $30,000,000 of dollars in federal, state and local funding for our clients through 50 different projects.
